REPORTING

This position requires deep technical and functional expertise in the field of health care supply chain. Responsibilities include: the ability to successfully lead activities on small and large client engagements at prominent health care organizations; the ability to anticipate issues and recommend solutions, interact with client senior management, manage the development of quality project deliverables, help pursue leads; and to participate in the development of a consulting practice. Specific consulting projects include: Cost reduction, strategic sourcing, supply chain assessments/diagnostics, contract optimization, and supply chain strategy. You will also be expected to mentor and develop junior consulting staff. Master’s and/or clinical experience required.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
At least 5–7 years total experience with large or medium consulting firm, or within the health care provider organizations. Solid background in large-scale health care supply chain cost reduction. Experience with large or medium consulting firm is strongly preferred. Additional direct management experience in supply chain related areas in a health care provider setting a plus. Master’s and/or clinical experience.

REPORTING
Position reports to associate vice president.

Basic project management experience. Ability to manage multiple client engagements simultaneously. Proficient with Microsoft Project. Strong relationship management skills. Strong presentation and public speaking skills. Ability to work independently. Comfortable interacting with multiple levels of management within an organization. Strong facilitation skills and excellent written and verbal communications. Strong team building and conflict resolution skills. Basic understanding of health care, group purchasing organizations, contract management, or supply chain management. Master’s clinical experience.

YEARS OF EXPERIENCE
At least 3–5 years experience with more than 2 years experience in leading / managing multiple projects. More than 2 years experience in health care and/or supply chain activities.
